HAVA’s Mission
HAVA is a no-kill cat shelter serving north Pacific County, whether homeless, abandoned, or abused. We work to find a permanent, caring home for those animals, and work to provide resources and education to our community.
HAVA is a no-kill cat shelter serving north Pacific County, whether homeless, abandoned, or abused. We work to find a permanent, caring home for those animals, and work to provide resources and education to our community.
We care for hundreds of animals annually, but we couldn’t do it without our incredible community of volunteers! From animal care and enrichment to administrative support our volunteers are the reason HAVA is able to help the cat and kitten populations, and the people of our community.
If you’re interested in joining our volunteer team and making a difference in the lives of the animals, come be part of our team!
Whether you’re making a one-time gift or setting up monthly donations, your donation helps us provide lifesaving medical care, shelter, and a second chance for a happy home for so many animals in our community. Your donation also provides pet food support and other programs that keep families together.
HAVA is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization. Your contribution is tax-deductible.
The HAVA pet food bank is for low-income families residing in North Pacific County. The food bank is located at 900 Robert Bush Drive in South Bend and is open from 12 – 4 pm, second and fourth Saturdays.
